When opening Bleach Powder, hold away from face. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or clothing. Do not use on hair that has been processed with a metallic dye or color. Do not use to dye eyelashes or eyebrows; to do so may cause blindness. Do not use on irritated, infected or bleached scalp. If the product comes in contact with the skin, wash immediately with soap and water. In case of eye contact or if swallowed, contact a physician immediately. Wear plastic gloves when using this product. Do not shampoo before bleaching hair. Use the balance of the material immediately; do not store for later use. Mix the bleach in a plastic bowl. Never mix product in a metallic bowl. Do the strand test before Allergic Contact Test with this product. Allergies may develop over time. Wear a towel or cape around your neck during application. Keep out of sunlight or heat. Keep out of the reach of children. If you are unsure about the procedures or product, do not proceed. Instead, contact Special Effects.
1. Put on included gloves.
2. Pour approx. MIX BLEACHING POWDER WITH PEROXIDE IN THE PROPORTION OF IS 1:2 IN A NON-METALLIC BOWL. Then carefully open bleach packet and pour approx. 1/2 of bleach into bowl; using a tint brush, stir until smooth and creamy. Then add the rest of the Peroxide and Bleach powder and stir until creamy.
3. Apply mixture immediately.
1. Hair should be dry and unwashed. A towel or cape should be worn to protect clothing during application.
2. Using the brush, apply the bleach mixture to the hair that is to be bleached, making sure it is applied to all strands of hair near the scalp but not dripping. Avoid using applicator brush. Do not apply mixture by gloved fingers. For highlighting, place a few foils or a highlighting cap on selected strands.

3. When the bleach mixture is entirely applied to the hair, start timing the development. Check the development of the hair every ten minutes to assess color lift. Take a few strands of hair and wipe off the bleach with a paper towel dampened. If the desired shade is not obtained, reapply the bleach mixture to that area then continue processing. Hair passes through several stages during the process of lightening to the required level of lightness. Lightening time is dependent on the natural hair color. The darker the hair, the longer the lightening will take. The chart below gives an approximation of the time it takes at various shades to change to pale yellow by bleach. If the hair is resistant, the bleach will go on acting for two hours lighten the hair. Do not overbleach.
